On November 3rd, 2015, Aaron (A.D.) Stonecipher received more than 1800 votes to serve on the Clarksville Town Council.  Following the election, the council appointed Stonecipher as the chairman of its Economic Redevelopment Commission, where his experience in real estate and budget management were utilized. Stonecipher served as chairman for seven years, under both a Republican and Democratic administration, stepping down in 2023 upon completion of Clarksville’s new riverside Main Street district.

Prior to the appointment, Stonecipher completed a ten-year career as the full-time co-owner and accountant of C6 Music Productions, which generated over $3 Million in sales, free of debt, in less than 8 years, while having started with only $5,000 in seed money.

Stonecipher has proven to be a continual student of finance, earning licenses in multiple states as both a real estate agent and a health insurance agent.  At the same time, Stonecipher completed paid internships in Southern Illinois with the Madison County Treasurer, as well as a local insurance agency, specializing in municipal accounts. More recently, Stonecipher completed an online certificate in financial planning from Florida State University and holds three financial securities licenses as he completes his training as a financial advisor.

During his time in Illinois, Stonecipher showed a commitment to public service by managing an independent investigation, which aided in the federal conviction of a former county treasurer for tax-lien fraud.  Shortly thereafter, Stonecipher helped to elect the county's first, conservative treasurer in 40 years and assisted the new treasurer in reducing department expenses by 30%.

In 2012, Stonecipher relocated his family to Clarksville, where his ancestors originated.  (Aaron is the descendant of Heinrich Stonecipher, a veteran of the American Revolution, who arrived in Clark County prior to 1804 and is buried at Jordan Cemetery in Corydon, IN.)

According to colleagues, Aaron Stonecipher demonstrates a unique balance of both right-brain and left-brain capabilities.  His experience reveals the service of both a creative problem solver and a versatile spokesman.   At the same time, Stonecipher demonstrates strong analytical skills, having managed both capital and personnel under volatile, cash-flow scenarios.
