Supported District-Based Voting for competitive Town Council elections

Hired our first professional Town Manager from among 40 finalists across 22 states, who addressed lacking cash controls, an outdated employee handbook, duplicate department efforts, lacking energy policy, lacking capital improvement plan, and poor communication with state officials.

Lobbied for online bill-pay of wastewater bills.

Reinstated the “Polston Rule”, which requires the council to publicly debate resolutions in a work session, at least two weeks prior to a formal vote.

Supported the creation of the new Jeff/Clarksville Fire District, which set the fire budget on a solvent budget.
